Denmark has hills

Horsens - Vejle 78.70 km

What a day! It was super hot right from the morning. I went along the peninsula along the coast, of course, from Horsens to Vejle. This peninsula has lots of lots of hills and it was very tiring and exhausting to bike them up during this heat. The downparts very very enjoyable, on the other hand, and I reached a maximum speed of 57.9 km/h! That's how steep the hills were...

Views from some hills.

I stopped twice, in Juelsminde for ice cream and fish lunch, and swimming, and another time on the way for swimming. So refreshing after the sweaty hills.

Along the Vejle Fjord there was supposed to be a campground that I aimed at after more than 60 kms. Unfortunately it was closed down, and I had to bike 15+ kms more to reach the next one with more hills :D All exhausted I finally arrived.

  1. Wow I think we only reached 40ish km/h, right? Must've been the only mountain of Denmark :D Pretty impressive distances you're covering also

    1. Yeah, the fastest one I remember was 44. Almost 60 seems insane. You must have almost broken the cars' speed limit.

  2. Yeah, it was already a bit scary to be so fast. Not the only hill though, there were more today. Phew, it's quite tiring also to bike so many kms per day...
