Going South

Skansen - Trosa 42.20 km

Today was the first day that it didn't rain at all - yayyyy! It was super nice and sunny, up to 30°C, so I was in summery outfit. It was a good warmup after quite a cold night. The first highlight was the crossing of Skanssundet by ferry. It operates every half an hour.

Close to my camp for the night.

First Sund crossing by ferry :)

My bike gets some nice views (and btw, the rack is still doing well, now that it's fully loaded)

 View from the ferry.

The cycle path went still along small, not so busy roads, and it came along an old castle, the Tullgarn castle. There I had lunch and a longer break to do some work in the castle garden sun :)

 Tullgarn Slott.

 With beautiful flowers and Park.

By the way, I have realized the great suggestion of a friend and started collecting all the places of interest that we/I went along so far in a Google map. So, if you are interested to check out some of them, see this map. And if you are interested in the exact route, we and I mostly followed the Eurovelo 10 so far. It follows national cycling routes that go along the baltic sea coast.

One of the amazing views today.

I have to say that having the sea so close all the time makes me really happy. The views are just stunning and I enjoy the relatively slow speed of cycling, the freedom to stop and take pictures and just have breaks wherever I feel like :)

The small city of Trosa is much much cuter than I expected, so I spent the whole evening going around the center and indulging in the cuteness of the old wooden houses and the little river flowing across the old town. That's why I decided to stay closeby and return tomorrow morning for breakfast.

 Old wooden houses in Trosa.

 Markt Square.

 Church Tower.

River that flows into the sea, so there are many boating people around.
