Along the South Coast

Simrishamn - Ystad 64.91 km

I have followed many different national cycling routes in Sweden, mostly the Cykelspåret (sections 8 to 1). Now it has partly been the same, partly different from the Sydostleden and the Sydkustleden.

Matcha Latte in Simrishamn.

Church in Simrishamn.

Simrishamn was a sympathetic little town with many boutiques, a nice market place and church, a waterfront and some cute wooden houses. Also the section right after was cute villages right on the coast with sand beaches.

Look at the flags.

The remaining stretch lead me inland and against strong wind once again, phew! I was looking for a spot for lunch that is not so windy, but I looked for more than 10 kms before finding something suitable :D

An old windmill?

Fields, flowers and wind.

Tonight I need to recharge my batteries which makes me stay at the Ystad campground. It's huge, but the nice thing is that the beach is so close. I had my dinner on the beach tonight :)

This guy wanted some of my dinner, but no success.

  1. The whole day it has been hard to focus. My thoughts keep drifting back to the poor seagull who was so cruelly denied the dinner :( he only wanted a little taste!

Good luck Anja and good luck Mr/Ms Seagull!
