Many sea views

Västervik - Figeholm 74.95 km

The morning was a bit drizzly, but after that it was really a good day for biking - a mix of sun and clouds. The first stop was the city of Västervik, which was bigger than I expected. I had a little stroll around the coast and a delicious Thai lunch.

Coming towards Västervik.

My bike enjoying the view :)
And me, too :)

Västervik cathedral.

Västervik is apparently the summer city of Sweden 2020. It was really cute and welcoming. By the way, the Sweds seem to also be very excited about ice cream which they call "glass" here. Took me a moment to figure that out :D But I should eat more glass indeed.

The rest of the day led me along smaller sand roads and always close to the water. I went around at least two inlets and now found a nice place with a fire spot for the night. It's only the second time that I have a fire.

Sometimes the water is right next to the road.

Sometimes a bit further away.

Cute boat house.

My little fire.

    1. Yeah, the campgrounds didn't really have fire places and when free camping it was also not always possible to make a fire. Really depends where you are.
